Projekt Impact

Projekt Impact empowers youth to drive transformative social change through creative expression, advocacy, and cultural diplomacy. Through elevating the voices of marginalised communities, we nurture a society that is more just, equitable, and inclusive, while embracing diversity and advocating for human rights.

who we are

Projekt Impact is an innovative initiative dedicated to empowering young people to advocate for a more just and inclusive society. Through creative mediums like documentaries, theater, performing arts, and digital storytelling, Projekt Impact amplifies the voices of marginalised and disadvantaged communities. The initiative believes that artistic expression can be a powerful tool for raising awareness about critical social issues and driving change. By providing training, mentorship, and platforms for youth to showcase their work, Projekt Impact equips young people with the skills to highlight social injustices, promote economic equity, and champion human rights on both local and global stages.

The initiative’s approach is rooted in cultural diplomacy and diversity, fostering spaces where participants can connect across backgrounds to build empathy and understanding. Each program encourages collaboration and dialogue, whether through interactive theater performances or cross-cultural exchanges. These efforts not only empower youth but also engage communities in meaningful conversations about social and economic justice. Projekt Impact envisions a world where every young person can freely express themselves and actively contribute to societal transformation, creating a ripple effect that promotes inclusivity and drives lasting change across generations.

Programs Coordinator | Women House of Resilience

My collaboration with Project Impact on a project called Girl’s Progress and Well-being Advancement (GPAWA) in Kenya was very impactful. GPAWA was meant to benefit adolescent girls and their use of art made it very relatable and interesting for the girls to learn about sexual reproductive health. Their methods are not very traditional rather they conform with the current trends and technology which allows them to reach audiences in a much deeper level. I am looking forward for more collaborations with Project Impact to drive social change.

Your documentary offered a poignant, fresh perspective on my country, concisely highlighting the harsh realities of gender disparities and patriarchal norms fueling vulnerability to sexual exploitation, abuse, and HIV/STIs. It painfully underscored the inadequate protection for girls in underserved communities. It inspires policy advocates to prioritize empowerment through intersectional approaches connecting gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), and human rights.

Health Journalist | Digital Content Creator

As a health journalist and content creator deeply committed to DRHR (Digital Reproductive Health Rights) awareness, this documentary has both inspired and reaffirmed my mission to continue telling these stories. It was a stark reminder that despite various awareness campaigns, there is still a lot to be done to highlight these critical issues across Africa. It underscored the urgent need for advocacy to address the SRHR barriers facing vulnerable populations in underserved regions. This documentary is not only an eye-opener but also a call to action.
